1. I was working on my website mostly during the class several hours during the week. I would spend time just changing some stuff and learning new features and function. I think the best way to learn is to try to change back and forward every single parameter and see the actual result, so I usually spend a lot of time doing that in HTML and other programming language.
I think the most satisfying aspects of creating your site is the final feel of accomplishment when you see the result of your work, and when you see that everything is working and looks just as you wanted it to look.
The least useful satisfying aspect of creating your website is the fact that sometimes something goes wrong and although you know how to fix it, it still won't work. There are problems with file names, links and other stuff like that. When this happens this could be very frustrating and discouraging.
I had a problem with on image I had to transform it in to the different format using Adobe Photoshop because it was originally AOL clip art file and I realized that it might cause some problems, so I transformed it to gif. Also frames gave me some problems, but I resolved that too.
Although my web site does not include a lot of content, I tried to include all the things that we did in class.
I always work on some site J and I will get back to this one in the future definitely. I will probably add more links and more content to it. Also I will add more photos, change my resume to my real one.
I think my website is OK. Although not too much content I think it looks well designed and very easy top navigate which is a priority #1.
I did look at some other web sites. Some of them are very interesting, some are too simple.
My only critical comment would be that some people could make it a little more creative and not similar to all others.
I did not use other sites as models, but I looked at the other sites and collected some valuable information that helped me to develop mine.
I think that I did something in between 6-7. I think I should develop it more and add more content to it.

2. Keeping online journal makes us constantly read the book and not leave everything before the final night. Also it allows to easily share thoughts and ideas with other people.
I don't really thing there were any negatives about the Blogger. I think it was a wonderful addition to our studies.
The reading improved my understanding that web site is created for those who navigate it, and you have to think as the user and create it as simple to navigate as possible. Also not too large and flashy so that it does not become too slow and interesting and creative so that it does not become boring to browse it.
I thing that there were a little to much of the repetition in the book and it went over same things over and over again. Also it could have been a little more technical.
My postings are a little disorganized I would change that.
I found some different ideas on the same material and it is interesting to see what other people think and have learned from the same material. And sometimes I would find some important points which I have overlooked.
I learned quickly summarizing my thoughts, and quickly communicating with people of the class.
I would give myself 7 for the work on the blogger.

3. I viewed the website constantly to check for updates.
Website is very well designed and very easy to navigate. All information is easily accusable.
I enjoyed the news posted on the website. Also the idea with photos was great. Although my picture was terrible L but I think it was a great idea which add a lot of fun to our web developing experience.
I honestly don't think there is any not useful information for our students of the class on the website. It is has all the recourses we need for the class, for our web developing experience and is just fun to navigate.
Maybe a little more of the design site links, some links to different scripts amd applets that we could use during our web design.
I did not encounter any problems. The only thing is I am upset with the overall angelfire performance and the problems that happen sometimes.
I mentioned it before and I will say again that this page is very well designed and easy to navigate which is the most important feature of the website.
It's a great idea and I think that every class should have one. This is a very quick way to access all the needed information regarding the class.
I really enjoyed using the website as it contained all the information I needed.
I learned numerous important things, one of them being the page structure, as I think this website is very well structured.

4. I did use it very often as a reference. I found out all the information I needed there. Homework and other.
I think the ability to respond is very good. Although I did not respond very often but you can go to the bulletin board and talk to people be sure that you are being seen there. That's a great way to receive comments about class, website and other.
This page contains only the information we need. It does not have anything useless.
It is a great idea. I will use it in my new website and use it as a bulletin board.
I think that extra information would make it a website and not a blogger. And we do have a website already. So I don't thing we need anything more here.
I had the most updated information regarding the classwork from it.
I would give it 10. It might not look flashy, but the idea is to make information available and easy to access and it perfoms it perfectly.
We should make a policy in YU so that every professor has one for his class J This would eliminate all the misunderstandings that sometimes take place.

5. I think I learned most from class. We had a very practical experience there.
I think some parts of book sometimes get too much repetitions.
The idea of Blogger was very interesting and useful and fun.
No I don't think by omitting something we would do any good. We touched all parts of development from designing pages to scanning photos. Everything you will need in real life.
The load was fair enough. We did get enough of practice and did not work too much.
I don't think there was anything too hard to absorb. It was designed for entry level and it did the job perfectly. People who could not create pages, now have a pretty decent understanding of how to create a website.
Material was very well presented and the fact that we were doing everything wile we were studying was great. I think that's the only real way to learn.
Class was well organized and touched all the aspects of web development that we might need in the future.
I would give it 10. I really think we did cover a lot. ( I took some web design class 3 years ago, don't remember the name professor. Although it was called Internet for business we only briefly touched HTML ) so in this class we got to some very interesting features of FrontPage and did some interesting stuff.
Organization of website and proper design ( and only in terms of how it looks)
I think it would be a good idea to introduce some more programs such as Dreamweaver and others in the future ( If YU pays up for software J )

Thank you very much professor this was of the most enjoyable classes.

This was a very interesting and creative class. Thank you very much professor. I really enjoyed this class.
I hope you all like my links :) And check out some of the dates of the posts hehehe

Homework #9

This chapter talks about the necessity to veiw other websites in order to compare with yours, evaluate and probably learn from others experience and mistakes. Also if you want to know the objective opinion about your website you should ask users to browse it and leave some feedback. You could set up an online buletin board ( for example using blogger ) and have users post their opinions about your website along with recomendations.
This is a very good website that tests and reviews Hardware

Homework #8

Chapter 5 of the book talks about Typography. It is a web Style guide. It is the balance and interplay of letterforms on the page, a verbal and visual equation that helps the reader understand the form and absorb the substance of the page content. It helps in verbal and visual communication. Usually you will not find two websites very much alike. Aslo content should determine the nature and mood of the design of the website. Internet nade in possible to create a whole near world. So you don't we use the opportunity and create well designed wesites as opposed to text only. 10 years ago internet users would not even dream of what we have today. Internet existed as a text and they used programs like telnet to veiw the information. So I think that we should use the opportunity and design as much creative pages as we can.
Don't forget to register for this years PC-EXPO. It will take place in Javic center Jun 26-28. And by the way it is a very nicely designed website. Enjoy :)

Homework #7

This chapter is kind of a repitition of the previous chapters. It continues the discussion of creation of the webpage, abpout the layout and design of the website, the first things we should keep in mind before even starting and things of that sort. It talks about various proble,s which we might have during the creation process. It also talks about proper structure, about proper usage of Headers, footers and other. It stresses that headers should say the right things sp that users will get the proper idea regarding the content of the website. It also touchis topic of menues and sitemaps, and again talks about the importance of ease of navigation. It also talks about p[roper usage of fonts, colors and other.

Homework #6

I found Chapter 4 very interesting. It Discussed structure of the website. there was mentioned the problem that might be acused by different browsers and different resolution as these are important issues when you are designing your proffesional website. When I create a website I make sure that I view it under different reslution, Websites that are using frames are affected by this. If you set a scroller, you probably will have an absolutely different view. Also chapters discusses the point that website should not be boring and have to have enough graphics to keep user interested, but it should not be oversized not make a web browsing a torture for a 56K users. Overal chapter is very usefull and although it might look that it is talking about some very abvous things, these are the things we usually overlook and forget.

Homework #5

Chapter 3 talks mostly about the orgonizationa and structure of your website. It talks about how the look of the website determines its context and type. It discusses tools like feedback which are very important to have to make your visitors happy. The use of Table of contents is also stressed in the chapter, as it gives you an opportunity to quickly navigate site and search for the specific type of information. The way your website looks is very important, but you should never forget about making it easy to navigate. Also I think many pictures and images can make your website look very nice, but it also can cause a slow performance, as large images take a lot of time to load and if the user is using 56K modem he might not enjoy the website at all.

Homework #4

After reading second chapter on developing content of the webpage I think that one of the main ideas in the chapter was to collect the required information before all the decisions about layout are made. It is always usefull to break up all the main topics into small parts and have links on all pages to those chunks for ease of browsing. Also it is important to make sure that you have a normal page length and graphics. Its a good idea to have a discussion topic with responses right on the webpages updated regularly, discussions related to the topic of the webpage though, and its a good idea to FAQ on your page.

I read Ch2 and think that it is very interesting and informational. It talks about the importance of including all those common details that every website has and users are used to. Those are: Link to homepage, Date of update and many others. You have to think about making your website easy to navigate for users. All this points that are made in book might seem to be a common sence already, but we can find a lot of web site on the internet that do not have all those basics that users are expecting to see. I think this was a usefull chapter for me and it will make me double check every little detail which I might have neglected before when creating my web site.

Chapter 1 has many interesting facts about how to plan plan your own website. You can find a lot pf information on how to make it look good and easy to implement changes to it. It shows the importance of planning the structure of your web-site in advance, it will eliminate the need to restructure it later, which is always a much bigger problem. This chapter makes u identify some tools u might be using to develope your web-site, makes you understand that it is important to define the structure and objectives. I think that overall this is a very usefull chapter and it will help me to develope my web-sites much more professionally.
